It was a dark and stormy night at The Mill Lakeside Manor …no just kidding.. It was a bit nippy out though. But we were in for a great day and night for Jamie and David’s wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake NJ! We met Jamie and David at a bridal show in Asbury Park. I think we kinda hit it off right there. After getting together to talk about their wedding plans they decided that they would love us to capture their big day. And I am glad they did, because we enjoyed working with them very much. What a great, laid back couple! We had first round of portraits at the engagement session which we did back in Asbury Park. WE got to know each other a bit more here, which is what is great about doing engagement sessions! You get to feel each other out and learn how we work and we learn how you react together and such. We got a bunch of great images and put together a little book of the session which they had at the wedding for all the guest to sign. This is a nice touch and keepsake.
On to the wedding day! IT was a bit chilly, as it was November… but everyone was in good spirits. We met David and his guys at the hotel getting ready nearby. A few shots(photos and drink, for the guys, not us..lol) After a bit with the dudes we headed over to The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake to meet up with Jamie and the girls and rest of the family. Jamie was stunning looking and not even in her dress yet. One of mu highlights was photographing a bottle of hot sauce…LOL. David is a huge Franks Hot SAUCE fan. So of course he had some at the wedding for dinner. So we made this cool image with the Sauce and Jamie’s shoes and dress. Franks even liked the image and asked me to share it on Instagram!
Ok so now time for the first look. Where the bride and groom see each other for the first time today! We did this out on the dock on the lake. Yes cold, but great spot! They had a great moment together alone (and us of course). Then we spent a some time doing the family and bridal portraits throughout The Mill. Some fun stuff with David and the guys with their fishing poles on the lake too.
Also,I have to mention how awesome The staff is at The Mill Lakeside Manor! Since Clarks Landing took over this place is a huge change! What a pleasure to work with! Oh and the food is really good too!
As it was bit cold out they moved the outdoors ceremony to the indoors. IT was still beautiful though. With all their family and friends surrounding them they had a nice intimate ceremony to tie the Knot! Now, party time! The cocktail hour was most delicious(my favorite part when we get to partake) and the DJ had the dance floor going all night. We had just as much fun as the guests! We got lots of great images throughout the day and night, here are just a few highlights! Cheers! And congrats again to Jamie and David!
