Teenagers… This is my favorite age group to work with.  That is if they want to do the photo shoot.  If they are forced to do it,  it is not the same. They must be into the idea and location and concept. It will come off in the images if they are not.  Sweet 16 is a popular one. The girls like being girls. Getting dressed up in a beautiful dress or gown. Having their hair and makeup done. Playing a role.  Going to a location that we choose together to finish the concept.  All of this comes together and you end up with awesome photos

This session,  she wanted the beach.  I had this idea of just her and the desolate beach. Not your typical beach setting. Well not for NJ. So we went to Island Beach Sate Park or IBSP.  The dunes go on for days. Its awesome.  We planned to shoot a bit before sunset for the best lighting, so we kinda had to move and work fast as the sun sets quickly once it starts going down.  This sweet sixteen was a bit shy but she handled it like a pro model.  She started to feel comfortable as we moved along.  I really love the images we captured and her and her mom did too.  Hope you like.
