Product Photography
Being I am a wedding and portrait photographer, why am I posting on Product Photography? Well if you don’t live under a rock or have not been castaway on an Island with Tom Hanks and Wilson, then you know I can not photograph people right now, LOL.I have friends that do product photography full time, I was never really into it though. But I get asked to do some here and there. I am not as good as my friends but I can make some nice images I think.
SO being stuck inside and having so much extra free time, might as well practice! Today is my third day in a row playing with this. I might go back a redo the shoot from day one, as I already learned more on day 3… Day one was Wine and Lysol(had to do the lysol under the circumstances) Day 2 the Jack Daniels. Day three the Woodford Reserve and the watch. I watched like 2 YouTube videos before I jumped right in. I just took what I know about lighting and went right for it. I don’t know what people know about product photography but I knew going in it is harder than you think. Especially glass and reflective surfaces. It takes a long time to get the lighting just right. And styling, that is another aspect to this. Its more than just putting something down on a table and photographing it. What elements can you add to spice it up?
So while I am not an expert, yet, maybe I can help you with your products that you need photographed. Do you have a product that you sell that you would like to highlight? Or any needs for product photography, reach out and maybe we can put something together!
