The beach, the ocean, the sand, the sunsets. It’s a Jersey Shore tradition! Sunset Beach Photos make the best vacation memories and keepsakes.
But how do you make this all happen? How do you get the best looking photos you ever had? What do you wear? How big of a wall portrait canvas should you make? What time of day is best for photos on the beach?
These are all questions that we will answer for you. We will do all the homework for you. We will help you through the whole process. Starting with a style and concept consultation. We will help with the right clothing and colors. We will help with your in home design. We will help with location and take care of timing and lighting and posing. You just show up and smile. And best of all no shoes required!
The first step is to call us. We will go over and find what is most important to you and to your family. Who will you invite to be a part of this experience? Will it be the whole extended family? Or will it be just the children? Whoever you choose to enjoy this experience with we will make sure that everyone is on the same page and is prepared to have the most enjoyable and fun experience all while getting the best photos ever. Through our guided process you will have a stress-free experience that will be a memorable part of your visit to the Jersey shore.
The biggest question we get is what should we wear. But this is not a one fits all answer. That is why we take the time for your personal consultation to make sure each portrait session is custom tailored to your wants and needs. And what about timing, what is the best time of day to do your family beach portraits? Well this kind of is a one fits all answer and that is it an hour before sunset. If you try to do beach portraits in the middle of the afternoon you are not going to be happy with your results. The sun is too harsh and you will have dark circles under your eyes like a raccoon. Even if your photographer uses a flash which is not flattering in the middle of the afternoon on the beach. Think about it, when you’re on the beach in mid afternoon. you’re wearing sunglasses usually. So we wait until golden hour which is about an hour before sunset. The cotton candy colors of the sky start to form and we can capture this natural light with no flash and create flattering lighting for you and excellent colors to make your images pop.
Due to the custom nature of your portraits and limited lighting at Sunset we can only fit one family per evening so each portraits or on a limited first come first serve basis in an appointment is required. We do book well in advance due to this. So as soon as you know your plans to vacation or visit will be at your summer home reach out to us as soon as possible to reserve your session date! And remember no shoes required but an appointment is!
