The Skylands Manor Wedding

It is March 26 and there is snow on the ground!    So this is not totally unusual but for most of  New Jersey to be rid of the snow today , up here at RINGWOOD, NJ there is still plenty of snow on the ground.  Caitlin and Michael took it all in stride though.  They were such a laid back couple, I think everyone around them was stressing more.  After morning preparations in the bridal suite at the Skylands Manor, we prepared for Michael and Caitlin’s first look. This is where they see each other for the first time as they are doing most of their portraits before the actual wedding.  This gives them more time to enjoy the cocktail hour and reception.   We just planned to bear the cold and head outside but some rain came in.  But no worries we found a nice little nook with great natural window light coming in a room secluded off the back of the building.  The had their moment together while we captured Michaels awe in Caitlin.    After some portraits out and about on some dry areas outside we made our way inside to where the manor has plenty of great rooms and photo spots.  It was now time to get ready to actually get married!   We made our way downstairs to the ceremony and the guests witnessed a great ceremony with some comedy by the officiant.    Now its party time!  We headed back upstairs in the beautifully decorated ballroom, where family and friends celebrated on the dance floor all night long.  Here are a few images from the day.  Cheers Caitlin and Michael!  THE BOTANICAL GARDENS OF NEW JERSEY, RINGWOOD, NJ  https://www.frungillo.com/venues/skylands-manor
